Miss Rodeo Montana and Montana Bones
Montana Bones has some fun news to announce! Our brand is now supporting Kaitlin Kolka, who is the current Miss Rodeo Montana. She works as an Extension Agent for Chief Dull Knife Extension Office on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Lame Deer, Montana. This is the town Dana Holzer, Montana Bones’ founder served in as a VISTA twenty years ago. Kaitlin’s work with Extension and her well-recognized commitment to excellent, are some of the reasons Montana Bones sought out Kaitlin for a brand partnership.
23-year-old Kaitlin is the daughter of Robin & Tom Nansel of Colstrip and Dean & Jill Kolka of Broadus. She grew up splitting time between her family’s ranches in southeastern Montana. Kaitlin has continued her family legacy of ranching, rodeo, and pursuing the rodeo queen crown.
Kaitlin is a graduate of Montana State University and has a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in coaching. She plans to complete a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and provide early intervention services for children in rural Montana.
During her time in Bozeman, Kaitlin was active in community service and worked for Montana State Residence Life. She received awards such as MSU President Cruzado’s Pure Gold Award, Advisor of the Year, and Montana’s 25 Under 25.
Kaitlin is excited for the upcoming year as she promotes the sport of rodeo and the Montana Circuit. Please join us in supporting Kailin and stay tuned for her schedule of appearances.
